Rocktober Rock Fiction Coveting: It Must be Your Love by Bella Andre

We already had a book by Bella Andre on The List: From This Moment On. Most authors, if they’re not dedicated Rock Fiction authors, or are devoting an entire series to Rock Fiction, they don’t do a lot of writing about rockers. So color me shocked when this one popped up on my radar.

It’s It Must Be Your Love, and it’s the eleventh in what I guess is a popular series. I’ve never read any of Bella’s books, and a quick e-mail to Susan confirmed she hadn’t, either. So we both want to see what the fuss is about. And now we’ve got a second reason to.

Mia’s Story (Seattle Sullivan #2)

Successful Seattle Realtor Mia Sullivan is nobody’s fool…apart from that one week five years ago when she gave away her heart to a sexy musician who gave her nothing in return but a few sinfully perfect days—and nights—in his bed. Though she swears she never wants to see him again, he’s the one man she’s never been able to forget.

One of the hottest rock stars in the world, Ford Victor can have any woman he wants…except Mia Sullivan. But now he knows millions of strangers singing along with his songs can’t fill the hole inside of him. Only Mia’s love has the power to do that—so he vows to do anything and everything it takes to win her heart again.

From the first moment they see each other again, intense sparks of attraction fly. Between irresistible kisses, a romantic Sullivan wedding in Napa Valley, and a deeply sensual connection that neither of them can deny, can Mia and Ford finally rediscover a love—and a friendship—strong enough to last forever?

Am I the only one who thinks his name sounds like a cop car?

This turns a lot of familiar tropes on their heads. Both characters never intended this to be something more than what it is. Usually, it’s one or the other who’s pining away. So I like that. I just wonder how one week is enough for them to never forget each other, to be convinced the other is the only one for them… all that jazz. Is it insta-romance, or does it work?

Only one way to find out.

And I still think his name sounds like a cop car.
